8‑Channel Dedicated Shoulder Coil
1.1 Product Background With the widespread application and advancement of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in clinical diagnosis, the installed base and market stock of MRI systems have grown rapidly in recent years. Meanwhile, clinical departments are raising higher requirements for image quality, especially for shoulder joint imaging in terms of signal-to-noise ratio, uniformity and ease of operation. The existing MRI coil configuration in the department may no longer meet clinical needs, or some coils have aged and failed. There is an urgent need to add dedicated shoulder coils to expand service offerings and generate greater economic benefits. 1.2 Product Positioning The 8-channel dedicated shoulder coil is fully compatible with 1.5T and 3T MRI systems from GE, Philips and Siemens. It delivers a superior, customized and cost-effective solution for hospitals with excellent imaging performance. 2.1 Product Design Scheme The 8-channel shoulder coil adopts an ergonomic design with an all-PC plastic housing. It is equipped with a flexible base plate that allows free adjustment of the coil position and quick switching between the left and right shoulder. Matching supporting cushions are also provided to improve patient comfort. The electrical design features 8 independent coil elements with built-in preamplifiers. The coil channel layout is shown below. 2.2 Product Innovations It adopts an 8-channel independent radiofrequency phased-array structure. The coil is mounted on the base plate for simple left/right shoulder switching, which helps reduce motion artifacts. Featuring a unique antenna structure with two rear saddle-shaped elements, it achieves high signal-to-noise ratio in the imaging area while extending the imaging coverage.
